The medical outreach program which was held in Panadura was an amazing program with the help of our medical interns and the doctors. The case study by University of Moratuwa, at the summit, was done based on the video regarding the problems faced by women involved in the cane industry of Wewaldeniya. The Case study team offered a carefully planned web solution and won the first place out of all the participants. However, the workshop was open to all interested undergraduates within and outside University of Moratuwa, regardless of gender.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Peshala Jayasekara, a senior Lecturer of department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.

The session covered most of the basic concepts of Robotics including demonstrations of sensors and motors, and an explanation of the PID algorithm necessary for Line following and obstacle-avoiding robots. Sagara Sumathipala, a distinguished senior lecturer from Local girls in moratuwa Faculty of Local girls in moratuwa Technology. The session provided an opportunity for the competitors to have test runs with their robots and to clarify any technical questions related to building the robots for better performance at the competition. Students have travelled abroad to take part in international competitions and exchange programs.

New IT facilities were introduced for teachers. The building project included a new sports complex to house the badmintonsquash courts and gym. The LC Walk was organized to help to fund the sports complex and the building programme has since been enlarged to meet the changing needs of the school. The new building houses the college archives, the junior library, the bookshop and the table tennis room. Several buildings were refurbished including the hall, the green room, the hostel, the day care centre and the domestic science rooms. During this time the Boxford Building was renovated and transformed to a child friendly nursery.
